The Story Behind the Gyro

Naqib Attaie opened Ali Baba's on 14th Street in 1979 and called it his baby. More than forty years later, it still is.

I stopped here looking for a quick meal on my way, however i was amazed by the taste and quality of the food, we ordered couple of stuff and everything ended up tasting great, i recommend the gyro plate which comes in a big quantity and cooked perfectly, would definitely come back frequently if i lived in the city, also very nice staff.

I used to go here all the time when I lived downtown, and recently went back to see if their gyros were as good as I remembered. They’re the BEST! I’ve even been to Greece but these are still the best. Try the Gyro Z. Owned by a friendly family for 5 generations, their prices are beyond fair, and the portions generous. Very quick, friendly service, and delicious food! Will definitely be back more often.

One of my favorite spots downtown! The menu is off the chain! 🔥🔥🔥 The Gyro Plate is my usual go to or the chicken kebab! The burgers are 🔥 too! Always get the steak fries on the side! This place never disappoints!
